Dr. Heather Guthrie is a psychologist specializing in individual, family and group therapy, practicing in Dublin, Ohio.
With twenty years of experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of University of Akron, she works with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are eating disorders, anxiety, and family discord. Most recently, Dr. Guthrie has worked as developer and program manager of the Eating Disorders program at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
In addition to being experienced as a psychologist, supervisor, and at program building, Dr. Guthrie has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and adolescent development concerns. She has also taught and supervised student counselors for the past ten years, most recently as part of the Counselor Education program of the University of Dayton.
Dr. Guthrie is an empathic and perceptive therapist who provides skills, support and practical feedback to help clients address personal life challenges. She uses evidence-based modalities in order to provide effective treatment for individuals and families, in addition to using compassion, understanding and interpersonal process in order to help each individual build on strengths and attain desired personal growth.
